Pumped for PUMPKIN

Happy National Pumpkin Day!

I want to thank Danielle from Clean Food and Creative Fitness for her pumpkin post… otherwise I would have never known!

Today I am going to be doing a recipe round-up of all the pumpkin recipes I have made on this blog. This includes recipes with pumpkin as the main ingredient, as well as recipes that just contain pumpkin.

To start, let’s go all the way back to my first ever pumpkin recipes that I posted on Eating 4 Balance (note the progressive photo quality of my pictures…).

Sweet Pumpkin Microwave Muffin

Savory Microwave Pumpkin Bread

Next up is my Pumpkin Cookie Dough!

Then we have my quinoa cookies… I really need to try these cookies again with some substitutions to make them even better!

Here is the bread I made for my trip to Stratford, Canada:

Banana Pumpkin Protein Bread (2 servings)

And here is my single-serving version:

My last two recipes come from one of my Friday Food Finds:

Microwave Brownies (with pumpkin puree).

And Pumpkin Banana Bread Batter.

*Edited to add: I almost forgot my most recent recipe using pumpkin, sorry!

Microwave Sandwich Bread (for those vegan gluten-free people out there craving some bread!!)

As you can obviously tell from this post:

  1. My pictures have gotten so much better from that very first Sweet Pumpkin Microwave Muffin.
  2. Banana and pumpkin make a perfect patch. Check out my round-up of banana recipes from National Banana Day.

I hope you enjoyed all of these pumpkin recipes!

Have you got a pumpkin recipe to share? Leave a link in the comments!

Would you rather eat pumpkin, or carve a pumpkin?

Do you have a National Pumpkin Day round-up on your blog? Leave a link and I’ll include it in my post. Or just tag back to me and that would be even simpler!

  4. I know tons of people make different versions but this is my version of pumpkin pie oats! http://iheartvegetables.com/2011/04/05/pumpkin-pie-oats/

  5. I didn’t know it was pumpkin day either. Brownies look good. I like the sound of quinoa cookies as well.

Here’s some pumpkin muffins I made last weekend: http://theroadtolesscake.blogspot.com/2012/10/pumpkin-and-rosemary-muffins.html

    • Thanks for commenting!

Pumpkin muffins are the best. I’ve never used rosemary as a seasoning for anything before. I bet those would be great! And I’ve been meaning to make some soup. Great for the colder weather.

  6. Pumpkin cookie dough?? I’m on it!

  7. Hooray for pumpkin! 🙂 Thanks for the great roundup!
I’ve nominated you back for the Sunshine Award! 🙂 I know you already have it, but I wanted to nominate you again!

    • Haha. Thanks! I always want to nominate the people back who nominate me… normally because those are the blogs I read the most. Now that you have done it I won’t feel so weird next time. 😀

  8. I’d much rather carve a pumpkin. I just don’t like pumpkin! But some of these recipes still look tasty, so I guess I can’t make a blanket statement about pumpkin. And I did buy some pumpkin spice coffee beans today (didn’t even know it was pumpkin day when I did!)–but then again, pumpkin SPICE is more about the cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, and I love all of those. Work days are extra-long when you have fun new coffee waiting on you…

  9. Wow! Had no idea that it was National Pumpkin Day – that said – I did know that Sunday is National Chocolate Day 🙂

  10. Thanks for the nomination Madison! I just uploaded my post 🙂
Pumpkin Day? How could I have missed that! Love pumpkins – rather eat them instead of carving 😉 hihi Happy weekend!

  11. I actually didn’t know it was Pumpkin day until…well…your blog LOL. I just posted pumpkin pancakes earlier this week, and they are my all time favorites! (plus all I can make are pancakes…)

  12. What a great post! Hooray for pumpkins! I’d much rather eat them than carve them! 🙂

  13. Love pumpkin, and love all these awesome recipes 🙂

  14. I need to try your sandwich bread.. how awesome!

  15. I can’t wait to make some pumpkin recipes. This is probably not allergy free, but I have a goal of making a pumpkin roll this year.

  16. Wow what a lot of pumpkin recipes! I’m not sure if I should admit this…. but I haven’t actually eaten ANY pumpkin yet this year!! That’s so bad isn’t it? I must make amends. I’m going to check out your recipes right now! 🙂 xx

    • Yes. Terrible 😛 You need to get on that right away! Even just a spoonful of pumpkin puree will suffice…. On second thought, I may be the only who likes pumpkin plain. So ya, back to the recipe idea!
