Birthday Cake Slutty Blondies

I figured it was only appropriate on the day after my birthday to post a birthday-esque treat. This was made a few weeks ago and I while I showed a picture, I never actually shared the recipe. Forewarning: This is not healthy or allergy-friendly in the slightest. It is just pure sugar and awesomeness.

Makes 12 blondies

Sugar Cookie Layer Ingredients:


  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Blondie Layer Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8×8 or 9×9 pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the cream the butter and sugar together for a few minutes until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix again until incorporated. Then add the remaining ingredients and mix together. Spread the sugar cookie dough into the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Next take your oreos and place them on top of the cookie dough, pressing slightly as you do so.
  4. After you are done with the oreos begin making the blondie batter. Combine the butter and brown sugar in a bowl just as you did with the cookie dough. Add in the eggs and vanilla, then the dry ingredients. Leave the sprinkles for last and mix those in by hand. Pour the blondie batter over the oreo layer and smooth out with a spatula.
  5. Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes. Check the blondies with a toothpick and add more time until it comes out somewhat clean (it will still be a little wet, but will solidify more when cooled. You don’t want to overbake them or they will be hard as rock). If the top starts to get a little brown before the middle is finished, cover it with aluminum foil to prevent burning. Mine took about 1 hour and 15 minutes to bake. Take them out of the oven and let them cool for about 15-20 minutes before removing from the pan to a cooling rack to finish cooling.
  6. Finally you get to slice and enjoy!

Recipe Notes: I found the sugar cookie layer to be possibly too thick for this recipe and next time I will probably cut it down even further to half of the recipe that I have written (one-fourth of the original). This will greatly decrease the baking time as well. You can use any cookie dough, oreo and or/blondie that you like for this recipe and it should come out fine as long as the proportions are the same.
